How to Set Shipping Rates in Magento 2 Multi-Vendor Marketplace Module

In a Magento 2 Multi Vendor Marketplace, managing shipping charges is very important. With Purpletree Shipping Table Rates enabled by the Admin, sellers can easily manage their own shipping rates directly from the Seller Panel.

Shipping Rates Option in Seller Panel

Once the Admin enables Purpletree Shipping Table Rates for the store, a new menu called Shipping Rates becomes visible in the Seller Panel. This section shows all shipping rates that apply only to the seller’s own products.

CSV Export and Import

Sellers can export shipping rates into a CSV file, update the values, and import the file again. This makes it very easy to manage multiple shipping rules at once and saves time.

Add, Edit, and Delete Shipping Rates

Sellers can add new shipping rates, edit existing ones, or delete them anytime. All shipping rates created here apply only to that seller’s products.

Filter Shipping Rates

To quickly find shipping rates, sellers can use filters for country and zip code. This helps in managing shipping rules in a clean and organized way.

How Shipping Rates Work for Sellers and Customers

This shipping method works the same way as Magento Table Rates. The Admin selects the shipping condition, and the same condition applies to all sellers.

Available Shipping Conditions

There are three conditions available:

Weight (and above): Shipping price is calculated based on total product weight.
Order Subtotal (and above): Shipping price is calculated based on order total value.
Number of Items (and above): Shipping price is calculated based on item quantity.

Fields While Adding or Editing Shipping Rates

When a seller adds or edits a shipping rate, the following fields are available:

Country: Select all countries or a specific country.
Region: Select all regions or a specific region if available.
Zip Code: Leave blank, use *, or enter a specific zip code.
Condition Value: Set value based on the selected condition.
Shipping Price: Enter the shipping charge.

When a customer places an order, this shipping method appears at checkout. The total shipping amount is calculated based on all seller products in the cart. Customers can select the shipping rate and complete checkout smoothly.
