Purpletree Magento 2 Downloadable Module makes it simple to manage downloadable products in your store. Two modes- SUPPORT EXPIRATION OR PRODUCT EXPIRATION.
With this module, you can set an expiry date for downloadable products, so access is available only for a defined time. If you update a downloadable product, all existing customer orders linked to that product are updated automatically, so customers always get the latest version. You can also choose how expiration works by selecting either Support Expiration or Product Expiration, depending on how you want to control download access.
This way, you can easily control downloads, updates, and validity without extra effort.

Two Expiry Modes
1. Support Expiration Mode
- Customers can download updates until the expiry date.
- After expiry, they can only download the last available version released before the expiry date.
Example:
- Support expires on 24-Apr-2018.
- Software versions released on 20-Apr-2018 and 25-Apr-2018.
- If customer logs in on 26-Apr-2018, they can download only the 20-Apr-2018 version, because the newer version was released after support expiry.
2. Product Expiration Mode
- After the expiry date, the download link completely disappears from "My Downloadable Products".
