Adding Customers During Order Creation in OpenCart POS: A Guide for Agents

Overview

In OpenCart's Point of Sale (POS) system, agents can add customers to orders. This feature enables better customer management and tracking within the system. Agents can either add new customers or select existing ones while processing POS orders.

Adding a New Customer

  1. Navigate to Customer Menu: Click on "Customer" in the OpenCart POS interface.
  2. Select "Add New Customer": Click on the "Add New Customer" option to initiate the customer creation process.
  3. Fill in Customer Details:
    • Customer Group: Choose the appropriate customer group from the dropdown menu.
    • First Name: Enter the customer's first name.
    • Last Name: Enter the customer's last name.

  3. Edit Customer Details: Click on the customer's name to access their profile. From there, you can edit any necessary details such as name, email, or telephone number.
  4. Save Changes: After making the required edits, save the changes to update the customer's information in the system.
