How purpletree multivendor's commission works?
Opencart purpletree multivendor’s commissions this feature allows admin to set commission. A commission is a very important aspect as it is the earning of a merchant from his/her seller product purchase. Commissions are also important for the admin to earn money from its own sellers, so, let’s understand the types of commissions in purpletree multivendor.
In purpletree multivendor there are three types of commissions:-
- Commission on per category basis –applicable to all products in a category
- Commission on per seller basis –applicable to all products of a seller
- Commission on global basis –applicable to all products of all sellers
Firstly the category commission will check if category commission defined then will apply. if the product category is available in multiple category then the maximum value will applied else product category is not define then the system looks for commission on per seller basis if it is also not defined then system looks for global commission then the global commission will applied.
How to set commission on per category basis:-
Go to Purpletree Multivendor > Category commission. Set the category which you want to take commission from sellers after that fill the commission in percentages.
Let’s take an example:-
Let’s suppose, there are a seller called 'S' and the price of Product ‘P’,’Q’and’S’ all three product are of same category and the product total is 1000$ . If admin has set the commission per category basis sale type commission set by the admin is 10%, then after the sale of the product:-
- Admin will get 100 $
- Seller will get 900 $
How to set commission on per seller basis commission:-
Go to Purpletree Multivendor > Stores > Edit Store.
Let’s take an example:-
Let’s suppose, there are a seller called 'S' and the price of Product ‘P’of the seller S is 100$. If the per seller basis type of commission set by the admin is 10%, then after the sale of the product:-
- Admin will get 10$
- Seller will get 90 $
How to set global commission:-
Go to Purpletree Multivendor > Settings > General Tab. With the help of this type of commission admin can earn from the seller/vendors per product sale.
Let’s take an example:-
Let’s suppose, there are a seller called 'S' and the price of Product ‘P’of the seller S is 100$. If the per product sale type commission set by the admin is 10%, then after the sale of the product:-
- Admin will get 10 $
- Seller will get 90 $
